This is an aluminum, 'puppy picket' fence, installed by Academy Fence Company in Glen Ridge, Essex County, NJ. We installed this decorative ornamental fencing in May of 2019. The fence height is 54 inches, so it meets pool code. The 'puppy picket' feature means that the bottom 18 inches of the fence has close 1 5/8 inch spacing. Puppy Pickets help to prevent smaller pets from fitting between the fence pickets.

Aluminum Fence - Double Picket - For Dog
This is a ornamental aluminum fence with double pickets. It was installed at a residence in Glen Ridge by Academy Fence Company. 'Double Picket' means there are twice as many vertical pickets, narrowing the space between pickets to 1 5/8 inches. With a smaller opening, the fence is able to keep in very small dogs, as well as keep out smaller wild animals. The overall strength of the fence is also increased substantially.

This is 5 foot tall aluminum fence and gate that we installed in Belmar NJ. The style is 202 which is characterized by having a smooth rail on top. It is a common style that we have been installing through out Monmouth County for decades. It is long lasting, maintenance free and very pleasing to the eye.
Aluminum Fence with Wire Mesh Attached for Dog
We installed welded wire mesh onto this aluminum picket fence in Manasquan NJ. Many times when property owners get a new small dog, they find out even if they have their yard fenced in, that the dog is able to fit through the openings in the fence. Here we used a 1 inch by 2 inch (1 x 2) black coated mesh to solve the problem in a nearly invisible way. So if you look close at the photo you will see the mesh wire that we attached. 402 Series Aluminum Gate
We installed this 402 series aluminum gate in Lincoln Park NJ. The Jerith style #402 aluminum fence has double pickets with smooth top rail. What is unique about this style is the close picket spacing of 1 5/8th inch. The 'double spacing' is effective when customers want higher security, strength, or to keep in or out dogs, pets, and small wild animals.

We installed this aluminum picket fence in front of an apartment complex on William Street in East Orange. As to be expected, it looks strong and sharp many years after we put it up. Aluminum Picket - 54" Black Material
This freshly installed pool code black aluminum picket fence was erected by Academy Fence Company at a residential property in Randolph, New Jersey. Featured in the photo is the happiest customer on the purchasing end of this operation, a Husky dog with new-found freedom! The Style is a 202 or Starling, in standard residential grade (5/8th inch square pickets and 1 inch square rails). With a smooth rail running horizontally along the top of the fence, not pointed pickets, it is becoming a popular aluminum fence style and can be seen through out Morris County, NJ.
Aluminum Fence - Black Windsor Picket
This black aluminum picket fence is installed in Berkeley Heights, Union County, NJ, by Academy Fence Company. The style is called Windsor and is manufactured by Jerith. Similar to Style 202, no pickets extend below the bottom rail.
Larger components (3/4 inch pickets and 1 x 1-
1/2 inch rails) are used to fabricate this fence for both strength and a more stately appearance. The Gate is set on 4 inch posts, an option which has added additional strength and longevity to the entrance way.
Black Aluminum Picket w/ Arched Gate
This aluminum fence style is a 200 or Siskin in black. It has a decorative arched gate. It is unique because it has alternate pointed pickets while at the same time it is topped with a horizontal rail, thus rendering it safer for children playing or attempting to climb. The stone walkway was cut into place after installation and gives a nice finished look. Also the arched gate is set on 4 inch posts giving it a stately look and ensuring long term durability. This was installed by Academy Fence Company in North Caldwell, NJ in May 2013 and the picture was taken in November 2018. It gives a good idea of how an aluminum fence installation will endure five years after it was installed.
4' Bronze Scalloped Aluminum Picket Fence
This specific style of aluminum fence panels with exposed pointed pickets and a scalloped top is called "Willet". The arched shaped top gives the fence a bit of uniqueness and style. The Customer made a great aesthetic design choice and we were happy to concur with a professional installation. Notice how we left the landscaping uninterrupted so it appears as if the fence grew there. Nice work by Ed and George! This 48" tall Bronze Convex Aluminum Picket Fence was installed at a residential property on Franklin Avenue in Belleville, New Jersey by Academy Fence Company in November 2018.
Aluminum Fence with Double Swing Gate
This Aluminum Picket Fence was installed by Academy Fence Company, in Livingston, NJ. The homeowner chose bronze color to blend in with their gardening and landscaping. Installers Ed and George followed the downgrade of the stairs which lead to a decorative, convex curved top, double swing gate. 4' Aluminum Fence w/ Height Extension
This is an old 48" tall black aluminum picket fence installed at a residential property in Livingston, New Jersey.
Academy Fence Company later made the trip back to extend the height of the fence to 8 ft, to protect the vegetation in the yard from deer, using vinyl coated welded wire. This welded wire in black is nearly invisible to the eye, and is commonly used in gardens, with deer control, and perimeter fencing for wildlife control. It is a simple cost effective way to accomplish a height extension in fencing.

This 54" pool code fence was installed by Academy Fence Company at a residential property in Essex Fells, New Jersey. When fencing in a yard that has a pool, the material must meet a pool code. This 54 inch tall modified fence fits pool code because the position of the bottom rail has been moved to the bottom of the pickets, in order to attain a certain minimum length (considered not climbable) between the rails.

The style shown above is called "longspur", or 101, and features picket points exposed on the top of the fence. Repair - Wrought Iron Fence
Take a look at this old fashioned, real, wrought iron fence in Short Hills , NJ. Academy Fence Company repaired it so it will continue to last for many more years. It is a 3/4 inch thick picket, 'wrought iron' fence. Real 'wrought iron fence' means that the pickets and rails are solid steel, not tubular (hollow) steel like modern ornamental aluminum and steel fencing. Traditionally wrought iron was used around churches and cemeteries.
